I became involved with Morgan horses at the age of 11, when I started riding at Sonja Wood Stables in Nineveh, NY. After high school I joined the Army, so horses were put to the side for a little while. My husband and I met at the Defense Language School in Monterey, CA. When we were stationed in Colorado, we bought our first morgan, our stallion JMF Time To Spare. This then led to the purchase of our two mares, JMF Paragon and Spring Break. We now have a total of 5 horses with the births of LKR Perfect Timing and LKR Captain Morgan. My husband thankfully is very supportive of my hobby. With his limited knowledge of horses, he is still useful at the farm and does most of the upkeep.
We have decided to slow down our breeding business due to the start of our family. Our son, James III, was born on November 13th 2007. We will be breeding one foal a year for now. Coming in 2010 will hopefully be a foal out of JMF Paragon by Treble's Tanqueray.
